Polímeros: Ciência e Tecnologia – A new and higher Impact Factor (1.492)
June 30th, 2021
Dear readers, authors, reviewers and contributors.
The new edition (2021) of the Journal of Citation Reports - JCR (Web of Science - Clarivate Analytics) was published on June 30, 2021. Again, Polímeros: Ciência e Tecnologia showed a significant increase in its Impact Factor. Our journal has now achieved an impact factor of 1.492, representing an increase of nearly 50% over the last assessment. The continuous growth observed in the last seven years is a consequence of the expansion and maturity of Polymer Science in our country, as well as the recognition of the quality of our journal by scientists from different countries. The increase in the number of citations of published articles is also a consequence of the greater visibility and consolidation of our journal as a quality reference in the field of Polymers. There is still a lot to grow and we hope to count on the support of researchers, Brazilians and foreigners, in sending their best research results and in constant support acting as reviewers of our journal. We are grateful for the work of the members of the Editorial Council and the Editorial Board, funding agencies, authors and reviewers, as well as the ABPol Secretariat, who provide all the necessary support for Polímeros success.
